You wouldn't be the first (or the last) to tell us, you accidentally deleted a dashboard and couldn't get it back. Well, we love to break it to you, now you can!
1. Soft-delete for dashboards
plus a dedicated page where you can restore a deleted dashboard within 30 days.🙌🏻
Good to know:
- No fear of hitting delete, you'll get a confirmation pop-up first, with a reminder that it's restorable for 30 days.
- Find the restore page via the three-dot menu next to "New Dashboard" (see image).
- Sub-dashboards get deleted with their parent, only the parent dashboard shows in the restore page, with a count of attached sub-dashboards.
- Formulas stay safe until the dashboard is permanently deleted.
- Slideshows lose the dashboard after soft-deleting it, you'll need to manually re-add it after restoring.
What it looks like:

2. Restricted dashboards by default 🔒
For organizations that need tighter control over who sees what, new dashboards can now be private by default.
What's new:
- Visibility picker - when creating a new dashboard and in the dashboard settings, you can pick who will be able to see it and who won't
- Private by default - when your organization has this feature available*, every new dashboard is automatically only visible to Me and admins ( unless you specify, that you want everyone to see it)
Good to know:
- Admins always keep full access to every dashboard
- Existing dashboards, are unaffected by this feature, their current visibility is preserved
- Dashboards with restricted access show a lock icon in the dashboard list, with a tooltip explaining "This dashboard has permissions.
How it looks:

*Want this for your organization? This feature isn't turned on by default for every account, but it's completely free. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our support team to get it enabled.
